Adverb Section One thing that has extremely modified my choices is my parents and my friends. My parents have always been there for me since day number one. They have been diligently supportive and have encouragingly utilized me to be a better person. My friends have helped me make choices by unselfishly sharing their experiences with me. Listening to them helps me to make decisions and take action about some of the choices that are repeatedly inflicted on a teenager in everyday life. There is a good connection between me and my friends. Truly, I think overall, that my parents have had a greater impact on me, because they have been there for me at my lowest and my highest points in life so far.

Pronoun Section The thing that stands for me is my individuality; and the symbol that I would be associated with would be a basketball.

Preposition Section The relationship with the people around me has gotten better through the years. Before I was baptized, I was not that good of a friend to my peers and not that good of a brother to my brothers. After that, I looked at life differently and tried to make better choices. The person that is under me for support would have to be my parents. Having them around lightens my day, and I know that during the bad times they lift me up. The person that is beside me would have to be all of my friends. I just simply can’t pick one. They have all been there at times when I just needed to talk to somebody my age, and they have also been there when I was the proudest in my life. Finally, the person that is above me that I idolize, would have to be Mike Krzyezwski. In the summer basketball camp I attended at Duke, I got to meet Coach K. He has a great personality, and he taught me a lot of basketball skills during my week at Duke. He was really cool to be around. Hence, all of these people have greatly affected my life, and hopefully, I have also deeply affected their life.

Interjection Section Hooray! Life is never dull!!

Verb Section After high school and college I became a responsible, qualified lawyer and graduated from Duke University. I established myself in the Abba, Inc. business and represented many people who needed my expertise. My road to becoming a lawyer was not so easy. The first obstacle I ran into was a teacher named Mrs. Pitts in my Middle School. She was very intelligent and always expected nothing but the best from me. At first I didn’t think that she was going to be so hard and passionate, but as the years went on, she stuck to her philosophies and pushed us through. Sometimes I felt like going down to regular Language Arts, but there was no challenge there. So, I endured those years and I am proud to say that Mrs. Pitts is the most grueling teacher I had in my life. If nothing else, she inspired me to stick to my learning and to keep on trying harder when the going got tough. My second obstacle was high school where I graduated in 2012, because the start was very laborious for me and confusing. There were tests being thrown at me left and right and I had no idea of what to do. I remembered my days at Middle School though, and I persevered through my studies. I researched and did extra credit activities and bunkered down because my focus was to graduate with honors and enroll at Duke University. After four years at Duke, I graduated in 2016 in the top 5 percent of my class (Surprise!). I started out in a law firm with several other lawyers, and I learned to accept criticism and defeat in my trials. After branching out to my own company, I have accomplished and won many cases and have fulfilled my goal to help others in the trials of justice.

Conjunction Section My Parents Strong and supportive Always by my side Comforting me when I am weak Even on the days when I cried They’ve taught me to believe in myself And know what is right and wrong Helping me even through the easy stuff Telling me to always stay strong Showing me unlimited options Never too old to have fun Using their skills to help me While I still am young Using the tools around them Planting me like a tree My parents are the best Who will forever be with me

Adjective Section The experience that has changed me the most is when I was baptized on October 15, 2006. I feel like it has deepened my religious faith in God and opened numerous doors for me to communicate and be more caring to my friends. Also, choosing this pathway of faith has made me more in touch with my humanitarian side and I am getting more involved with my community. One item that describes me the best is being a rabid fan of the Duke Blue Devils and most of my close friends know that. As an enthusiastic, nonconformist living in Tar Heel country, I decided to go with the lesser crowd and pull for Duke and I haven’t stopped yet. Another item that I associate myself with is kayaking. Not many people know that I am an avid kayaker. The reason I like kayaking is that I love the strenuous exercise and spending quality time on the water. The final item to describe myself is I am musically inclined to play the guitar and the drums. I took two years of guitar lessons, and now I enjoy picking out miscellaneous tunes on my own time. My favorite instrument by far would be the drums. I like the drums because they are so fun to play and I can really get into the rhythmical drumbeat.
